We’ve enjoyed shooting there and wanted to share what makes it one of the top wedding locations in Kansas City to us.
A View To Die For
As we mentioned earlier, it is the view for us! The Bride and The Bauer boasts one of the most beautiful views in the Crossroads area. Step into the 3rd floor and you will be smacked with the breathtaking Kansas City skyline showcasing art galleries, boutiques, restaurants, and so much more of the city. The windows also bring in an amazing amount of natural light that lends itself to great photos and wedding videos. We love shooting here.
A Beautiful Building
So, there is more than just the view inside these four walls. The Bauer made some great choices when it comes to décor and staging. They have artisan furniture, exposed brick, and textured walls, Italian-glass strings bulb lights creating a truly vintage appeal. The venue space is on the 3rd floor of the renovated Baur Machine Works building and includes a Bridal and Groom’s room, both decorated in a charmingly vintage style.
THE PERFECT SURROUNDINGS
How much more Kansas City can you get? The Crossroads District is rich with galleries, local start-ups, artists’ studios, and community. It’s trendy without trying. I think it would even be fair to say, the Crossroads may be the heart of Kansas City. If you’re looking for a truly Kansas City aesthetic for your wedding, this is a good wedding venue for you.

When it comes to communication skills, The Bride and The Bauer staff is top-notch. Our clients rave about the customer service. The staff is both organized and pleasant – making them great to work with. They seem to be accommodating and helpful to our clients as well.
Even if this venue did not have stellar views of Kansas City, we would recommend this as an option because of the overall experience. The décor is playful yet romantic and a mixture of old and new. The building is in the heart of the city – the Crossroads district. The staff receives rave reviews – go ahead look them up. And the cherry on top is that we just love shooting there. There is so much detail in the building and in the surrounding neighborhoods that it tells a great story.

REAL WEDDING AT THE BRIDE AND THE BAUER
Kimberly and Delvrick planned their Kansas City wedding all the way from DC, as this was a good middle-ground for their family and friends. The Bride and The Bauer was the perfect venue for their reception. There was so much love in the air the entire day! There were tears of joy during the ceremony and foreheads full of sweat on the dance floor as everyone in the room was having the time of their lives.
